When I was just a young buck of 8 my dad took me over to see a man by the name of Paul Bradford. Paul had some of these real pretty yellow rollers and he told me they were part of his Casperson family of rollers. Paul told me that he had, had the family of birds for many years. I was able to watch his kit of yellows and reds that day I can still hear his chuckle when one pulled off a nice spin. Paul gifted me my first pair of rollers that day a yellow cock and a red hen. I kept them and many of the young till just before getting married in 1983 when I knew I was going to have to move into a smaller place. I was sad to have to pick wich birds to keep. ( I kept the Husband Orientals and the Drecksel baldies ) When I moved to Thatcher I wanted to get some of the old families I used to have but found out that anyone that had birds from Paul did not fly them and so sadly the flying ability was lost. Luckily 2 years ago I did find someone who had birds from Paul that actually flew some and so I have been breeding these to see if I can preserve some spin.
